“ The displays are beautiful and inviting, the variety is unbelievable, and the quality is outstanding! ”
“ Old time style chocolate and candy store. Not sure if this was due to being closer to Christmas, but they had more toys/stuffed animals for sale vs candy/chocolates that I remember. Staff are super nice, and include free gift wrapping if you're buying some of their boxed items and/or if you spend a certain amount. Small free parking lot on the side of the building is nice. Make sure you look for the "grab a number" machine when you go inside in case there's a line, so that you don't get ready to order/pay and you don't have your number. They sometimes also have an express pay slot at the end of the counter, but that might be more only around the holidays. ”
“ omg!!!! such a wonderful place to visit !!! thank you alice for your awesome customer service!!!! ”
“ This place was so packed and after eating the chocolate I totally understand why! It was absolutely delicious and artistic aspect of how everything looks is even more impressive! I can't wait to stop in here again sometime! ”
“ Lovely candy chocolate shop from 1920. Wide selection of assorted unique candies. From Chocolate covered potato chips to chocolate gummy bears. Really enjoyed everything I have this tried (malt balls and cream assorted chocolates). Definitely will go back. ”
“ Amazing candy store. They make everything on site fresh. You can peek in the back and see people making and wrapping the candy- so cool. Came in to get Easter candy as I do every year with my sister and mom. The wait wasn't bad to get anything hand picked or something written on it. They have these chocolate eggs with candies inside that you can have a name written on. They have candies that rand from chocolate cream eggs, to Swedish fish and even my favorite chocolate covered gummy bears. I picked up some chocolate covered gummy bears, chocolate covered marshmallows, fun dip, candy cigarettes and speckled eggs. The service is so friendly and although they are crowded- they get people in and out very quickly. This is my go to place every year for Easter. A just try if you haven't been! ”
“ OMG! Could this place BE anymore sweeter?!? (No pun intended!) Stumbled into this amazing and cute chocolate / candy / gift shoppe in Merchantville, NJ! I really could get lost with all the cute giftables and sweet treats at Aunt Charlotte's! The staff are so kind and very helpful! I wish I took my kid to this store because I know they would adore all the merchandise and have great gifting ideas to share. I came during the Fall season, I can only imagine how amazing this store would be during the Christmas and Easter holidays based on the previous reviews I checked out. ”
“ If I were asked to select the #1 candy store I have ever seen in America, I would not hesitate and choose Aunt Charlotte's. This fourth generation family-run sweet emporium in beautiful Merchantville, New Jersey outside Philadelphia is a smile-inducing, taste bud-stimulating, wonderful place. Located right in the town center on the attractive main street, Aunt Charlotte's has something for everyone. And they will do mail-order all over the country as well. Good luck choosing something here as everything looks tempting. My advice is to set a limit on what you can purchase and go from there. The super nice staff here will gladly help you. Aunt Charlotte's harks back to a different era. It survives and thrives in the modern world because - well - it just might be the best candy store in America! ”
“ This family owned chocolate store has been around since the 1920's and it's easy to see why. The staff is as sweet as their chocolate. It's become a tradition for my family to stop here every Easter. It's a little pricey but you absolutely get what you pay for. They have a huge selection of molded chocolates, chocolate by the pound and pretty much chocolate covered everything (s'mores, Twinkie's, pretzels and more). My personal faves are their chocolate eggs with filing (your choice of peanut butter, cream etc.) which you can have personalized and their jelly beans. ”
